Take your senses on a culinary journey that takes you through a journey of Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist. Offering an extensive menu of small bites and family style shared plates, Pukka delights the senses with modern interpretations of classic Indian curries and flavours. Located along the revitalized St. Clair West strip, Pukka fresh new space is an energetic and engaging atmosphere welcoming any event. The heart and soul of Pukka is found in its owners Harsh Chawla and Derek Valleau who showcase their love for the flavours of India in every dish.
All of their delicious dishes have been carefully created for sharing. Start off your meal with one of their delicious small bites. To start, the String Chaat mixes string vegetables with sprouts, rice crisps, pomegranate, mango, chutneys and yoghurt. The crunchy Vegetable Pakoras in a tomato chutney is a great starter to share with a group.
For the carnivorous, the Lamb Kebabs are delicately stuffed with goat cheese served with pomegranate reduction. The Gunpowder Prawns are exquisitely seasoned and accompanied by a tempered moong bean salad.
You main course should be filled with a variety of indulgent dishes to awake your senses. We shared the Pan-roasted sea bass made with lentils, curry leaf and tamarind along with my personal favourite, the Lamb lollipops served in a turmeric, mint and coriander curry, French beans with caramelized onions, turmeric + coconut along with basmati rice and one of their signature naan on the side to share.
Infused with the favours of India, try one of their refreshing signature cocktails like the Mumbai Sour or the British Raj. Made fresh to order, these cocktails mix unique flavours together for a light and refreshing drink that pairs beautifully with your meal.
