Andy Warhol Revisited Comes To Toronto

Andy Warhol has landed in Toronto. Presented by the Revolver Gallery, Andy Warhol Revisited: A Mirror For Today brings a museum quality exhibition to 77 Bloor Street West in Toronto. Opening today (July 1) until the end of the year (December 31,2015), the Los-Angeles based Revolver Gallery will feature a selection of Andy Warhol’s most iconic pieces right in the heart of Yorkville. From the most recognizable (like his renown Campbell’s Soup Cans and Marilyn Monroe portraits) to the rare and obscure; over 120 historic paintings and prints have been transported to Toronto for this exhibition. This exhibition will also include artwork from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc., Christie’s Auction House, and distinguished museum and private collections to showcase a comprehensive look at his artistic journey throughout the years.

“Being a native of Toronto, the city holds a very special place in my heart.  It is an important part of the person I am today, and I feel compelled to give back to Toronto with this exhibition,” said Ron Rivlin, Founder, Revolver Gallery. “I want to share my passion for the importance of Andy Warhol’s work with my fellow Torontonians.”

Stay tuned though! Over the next few months the Revolver Gallery has many exciting events and educational lectures planned to help engage visitors in this culturally profound exhibition. Dividing his works in the thematically and chronologically, a snapshot of Andy Warhol’s decades of artistic experimentation has been masterfully captured in this exhibition to provide visitors with an interactive journey through his works.
