National Tequila Day is July 24th. That is less than 10 days away now. But don’t panic. We’ve got all of your cocktail drinking needs covered with some sumer fresh recipes from Casamingo’s Tequila. Born from the very handsome mind of George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldemen, they creative a premium Mexican tequila that has been highly acclaimed for its quality and taste. - Casamigos Blanco – The Blanco rest for 2 moths and is crisp and clean with hits of citrus, vanilla and sweet agave with a long smooth finish.
- Casamigos Resposado- The Resposado, aged 7 months, is soft, slightly oaky with hints of caramel and cocoa. It has a silky texture with a medium to long smooth finish.
- Casamigos Anejo – The Anejo is aged for 14 months and has a beautifully pure and refined complex aroma, with soft caramel and vanilla notes. It’s the perfect balance of sweetness from the blue weber agaves, layers with subtle hits of spice and barrel oak, with a lingering smooth finish.
The other week, we stopped by The Keg on King Street West in Toronto to try out their new sharing menu and see what cocktails they are mixing up this summer. For those looking for more of a refreshing fruity flavour, the Paloma is the perfect cocktail for you. If you’re looking for something with a little more of a kick, the Casamigos Mule balances the fresh taste of blanco tequila with the spicy ginger beer. Paloma 1 1/2 parts Casamigos Resposado Tequila 3/4 part fresh grapefruit juice 1/4 part agave nectar 1/3 part fresh lime juice 1 splash grapefruit soda Add all of the ingredients to the glass portion of a Boston shaker. Shake well with ice then strain into a tall rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
2 parts Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1/4 part fresh lime juice
1/4 part ginger syrup
Add all of the ingredients except ginger beer to the glass portion of a Boston shaker and shake well with ice. Strain over fresh ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wheel.
