Dressing Up For Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Now that you have your evening all planned out, it’s time to start thinking about the outfit. This year, I’ve decided to shop at one of my favourite stores Ted Baker London to find the perfect look for February 14th for both the ladies and the gentleman.

For Her

Give your outfit a pop of colour with the Miloca skater shirt. Taking a bold stance on the traditional Valentine’s Day red, this bright mid orange colour is a beautiful alternative that looks great with a neutral top in white, cream beige or even contrasted with black. I personally love anything a-line, the cut is both feminine but also figure flattering.
I have an obsession with anything floral. In fact, the majority of my wardrobe is comprised on floral prints in every colour. So the Catina cascading floral fitted midi dress is an elegant way to look seductive at your special dinner out with a contemporary floral print. Paired with a classic pair of pumps, this dress’ subtle allure is the perfect date night option.
Looking for a little bit of red for your Valentine’s Day outfit? Why not a whole lot of red with these stunning Emalina mesh panel court shoes. Sophisticated, stylish, and sexy; put your best food forward in these irresistible pumps.
Finish your look with a pretty in pink Preslie slim bow patent shopper bag. With adjustable handle lengths to take you from day to night, this smart and stylish candy pink bag is not only a great accessory for Valentine’s Day but a staple for your Spring wardrobe.
For Him

Guys, you can never go wrong with a suit. Why not change things up a bit the Saturn patterned suit jack with the matching pants and vest in a modern light grey. This pin dot fabric is a great way to have a coordinated and versatile look for your fancy dinner out. Add a pop of pink with a tie (or pocket square) to make your outfit Valentine’s Day ready.

Just because Valentine’s Day happens to fall in one of the coldest months of the year, doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice style for comfort and warmth. I have a soft spot for a good-looking guy in a great sweater and the Coppul cable knit sweater in red is the perfect choice to cuddle with someone you love in.
Colour shouldn’t be just reserved for the ladies. Accent your outfit with a pop of colour with the Britone block colour belt. This contrast of colour looks great with both jeans, or a darker dress pant.
One of the biggest fashion statements this season for men are found on the feet. Show your playful side by mixing it up with these Lovepop heart print socks in that compliment the colour palette in your outfit. Don’t worry if they do not perfectly match, it’s all about finding colours and bring out certain aspects of your outfit and stand out from your look.
