This morning, I had the pleasure sharing my tips and tricks on how to pack your carry-on suitcase better. With the increasing number of airlines who are now charging for luggage, and how much of a hassle it is to wait for your luggage on the carousel when you’re anxiously awaiting the start (or end) of your vacation…for all of these reasons and more, I’ve decided to share my packing secrets with you today!
First off, invest in a compact yet durable suitcase will fit in any airline overhead compartment. The Atlantic Unite 2 suitcase by Atlantic Luggage has versatile options available in a variety of sizes. The 19-inch carry on is the perfect option if you’re looking for a carry-on suitcase! This suitcase featured with Link2GoTM technology that allows you to connect and secure your luggage together with ease. This is the perfection option for families traveling with multiple pieces to help them navigate their way though the airport with ease. Plus, for the tech savvy traveller, these suitcases also have an external USB Port and integrated battery pouch on their carry-on suitcase to help you connect your electronics to a power bank as you carry them with you!
In addition, the mesh lid pocket and the adjustable hold down straps allow you to better organize your suitcase and keep all of your belongings secure. There is also a side mesh pocket and build in wet picket on the sides of the bottom compartment that is perfect for storing toiletries or wet clothing.
The key to packing smart is to figure out a way to stay as organized as possible while you’re on the road. A set of packing cubes like these ones made by Austin House are a great way to separate your belongings by type (pants, shirts, etc.) or theme (day, night work, etc.) in a compressed, easy to pack, dual-zip, nylon bag. Keep your shoes separate from the rest of your belongings with these easy to use and clean shoe bags from Austin House.
Next, when it comes to your toiletries, cosmetics and all other liquids, always remember to pack them in 100ML or less containers. Some of your favourite brands also offer their products in compact sizes to make travelling with them easier. Avoid the mess and hassle with the travel sized version of these great brands. Here is a snapshot of some of my travel must-haves!

Lastly, after year and years of travelling, I cannot stress how important it is to keep your wallet organized while your on the road. The amount of time, and stress will save you from is well worth it. Packing all of your documents and various currencies in a travel wallet like this one from Ted Baker is fantastic because it has separate areas for your passport, tickets, documents and anything else you may be carrying and is stylish too!
This passport sleeve from Austin House is also useful because it uses RFID to help protect your passport from fraud.
