Fun. Fresh. Fab. These are the words I would use to describe the recent iYellow event.
I’m not sure how she does it, but it seems that with a hard working team and a very creative mind, Angie (Angela Aiello, Founder & Creative Director of iYellow) is always able to pull off an excellent event. From a casual barbeque to a sophisticated social, the 3rd Annual iYellow Summer Wine Jam had it all.
Held at Airship37 in Toronto’s Distillery District, the Summer Jam offered 50+ wines from around the world throughout two massive and trendy rooms, as well as an outdoor space decked out with a retro-style bus, snacks and a pig-roast… That’s right, a PIG-ROAST. Can I get an “AMEN”?!
I feel as though I could write for days about how excellent Angie and her iYellow team is, but unfortunately I have a limit to how much I can write. With that being said, I must exclaim the one thing that I love most about iYellow; it is pretentious free. I’ve been to many wine-tastings and tours and never have I felt as comfortable as I do in the presence of the iYellow team. From an outsider looking in, it seems as though the goal of the club is to strip away the fancy “oo-la-la” and replace it with positive and accepting vibes. Not everyone can afford wine tours, not everyone is experienced in the art of wine tasting, and to Angie and her team, that is not a problem.
So if you’re looking to dabble in the world of wine, whether it be casual or classic, I sincerely suggest you let the iYellow team guide you. Additionally, if you’re able to get your bum to next year’s iYellow Summer Wine Jam… DO IT!
