On March 20, Uncle Smoke will be partnering with east end Odin Café for the second time to bring out some of the tastiest Norwegian dishes to a VIking Feast. Chef Aidan Galligan of Uncle Smoke will be exploring Norse influenced Viking-age foods in the second instalment of this special pop-up series. Held at Odin, a Nordic-Canadian café and bar on King East, the Scandinavian supper series will feature a family-style feast of smoked wild boar, beer braised poultry and smoked cod. The customary mains will be accompanied by rustic green soup, torn ancient rye loaves, honey roasted root vegetables, traditional dumplings and more. You can currently get Uncle Smoke via UberEATS for now, but come spring they are opening a bricks and mortar outpost, so this dinner is a great sneak peek to the newcomers to the food scene.
See you there?
