“We are seeing more and more brides looking for very lush and elaborate decor with tons of florals.” says Tamara Niyazov, Event Planner at Fab Fete, “After Kim and Kanye’s wedding this past summer, brides are loving the famous flower wall and are looking to incorporate that look into their wedding decor. A lot of couples are also opting to personalize their wedding as much as possible. For example, choosing personalized wedding favours for all of their guests or incorporating family heirlooms, such as antique brooches, into the bouquets or centerpieces.”
According to Fab Fete, wedding trends for 2015 will include:
1) Darker colours for flowers and decor, such as Marsala and cobalt blue, in accordance with Pantone’s colour of the year, with pastel counterparts as accent colours.
2) Metallics are still a huge hit for various decor elements like votives, candelabras, etc, but we will see more copper and rose gold, instead of silver and yellow gold. The mixing of metals (ie: pairing silver with gold) will also be very popular.
3) Fairy lighting and romantic twinkle lights, due to the release of fairy tale like movies, such as Cinderella and Into the Woods.
4)Royal Family inspirations: lace and other delicate materials, as well as, lush and luxurious events with white glove service.
5) Finally, cool and innovative chairs and tables as their own decor, instead of linens and overlays.
