As the weather gets colder, we are all getting the inkling to escape the cold and look for somewhere warmer to go on vacation. Where to go: Whether you are travelling by plane, train or automobile, Ottawa is the perfect destination for you next weekend away. From January 29th to February 15, Ottawa will be hosting Winterlude with activities ranging from skating on the Rideau Canal Skateway, admiring the ice sculptures, sliding down the ice slides and more.

Our nation’s capital is home to some of the best museums, Swing by the Ottawa Art Gallery or the National Gallery of Canada to browse their extensive collections of Canadian and contemporary art. The Monet: A Bridge to Modernity exhibit is currently on now until February 15 as well as exhibits from Ian Wallace and Joseph Beuys. Or, brush up on your history and visit the Canadian War MuseumCanadian Aviation and Space Museum or the Canadian Museum of History. Or take a break from the city to relax at the Nodik-Spa Nature.

Boston
Where to go

Martinique

Brazil
Where to go: A beautiful country filled with sun, surf, sand and plenty of culture. As the home to the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics games, anyone visiting with a Canadian passport from June 1 to September 18 will no longer need a tourist visa and allow visitors to stay for up to 90 days. Stay an explore the vibrant capital city or explore the cities like Salvador or Sao Paolo to see a bit more of the beauty this country has to offer.
