In honour of the annual Salsa in Toronto Festival, Mariposa Cruises is getting red hot! The famous Toronto luxury cruise is kicking off the summer season with three electric nights of Latin fun. Be prepared as this will NOT be your run-of-the-mill dinner on the water, but rather a jam-packed evening with Toronto’s top Latin dancers, cuisine and music!
Mariposa Cruises is kicking off their 28th season of stunning sunset dinners, cocktail cruises and special events. The Canadian owned ships are docked at one of Toronto’s most prime locations along the Queens Quay. Mariposa Cruises offers an incredible selection of vessels, including the two largest ships in Toronto’s harbour and can accommodate groups of 15-575 passengers.
When I heard I was being sent on a salsa cruise my initial thought was, “mild, medium or hot?”. Luckily for me, the experience was FAR more than your average tomato based dip. From the moment I stepped on the ship, I was graced with incredible hospitality from the staff. The idea of a cruise can be a rather unsettling experience to some, so the hospitality and welcoming smiles truly did make a difference.
From the get-go you could feel the energy in the air, which – due to the music – quickly changed the excitement level from a 6 to a 10. It wasn’t long before people (including myself) stepped out of their comfort zone and really took advantage of the salsa lessons.
All in all, the Mariposa Cruise was phenomenal. Can you honestly think of better way to spend an evening than cruising the Toronto waters, surrounding yourself with a stunning skyline, good food and music? Absolutely not.
